VIC:NSW locusts could be headed to Vic
A huge swarm of locusts believed to be about 25 kilometres long could be making its
way into northern Victoria from New South Wales .. and may arrive by tonight.
Victoria's Department of Primary Industries has been warned the swarm around the Hay
and Conargo region in NSW is travelling southwest towards Victoria .. with farmers warned
there could be crop damage.
Locust swarms can also reduce driver visibility and can block a vehicle's radiator
.. causing overheating.
