County sales tax revenues were up 1.6 percent for the second quarter, a signal that Saratoga County's economy remains stable but not in a growth mode, County Treasurer George Gasser said.
Between March 1 and May the county took in $10,720,076, compared with $10,551,382 during the same period last year - an increase of 1.6 percent, figures show. During the mid-1980s when the economy was much stronger, double-digit increases between quarters were common, Gasser said Friday.
"Given the economy of the state, we're in pretty good shape," he said.
