The series of 13 half-hour episodes is scheduled to be broadcast in November as part of an animation platform called Oh Yeah! Cartoons, but the pilot episode goes on air this month to Nickelodeon Asia's 130 million households across the region.
According to Leslie Lee, marketing and communications manager, the screening of the pilot episode is intended as a preview, and to build some hype and anticipation for the series.
It's evident that the channel has some high hopes for the series. At a cost of about US$250,000 per episode, Nickelodeon's first Asian produced animation series enjoys a budget comparable to international standards.
